When Lauren formed the Healthy Foundations program in 2009, she did so with a mission to teach children of all ages and abilities about their brains and bodies in order to equip them to make healthy life choices. She is a co-author of the “Personal Power Tools” curriculum, which provides children and educators tools and techniques for self-regulation and social navigation. This curriculum is used by private practitioners and in schools. Lauren helps children and families via individual therapy sessions, summer camps, workshops, and the Healthy Foundations speaker series. By creating an individualized and integrative approach to development and wellness, Lauren provides support for each client's complex journey.
Prior to establishing Early Insights and the Healthy Foundations program, Lauren was employed with Children's Specialized Hospital in New Jersey providing intensive feeding and speech therapy to medically fragile babies. Earlier in her career she worked at Rusk Institute in NYC and in preschool early intervention outreach programs. Lauren received her master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. She has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC/SLP), is certified in Neuro-Developmental Training (NDT) and is a registered Better Brains for Babies (BBB) trainer.
